Report Claims Leeds Have Scouted 22 y/o Championship Midfielder, But Our Mind Isn’t Yet Made Up

|

With the January transfer window nearing, Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa has already commented that the club are prepared to do some business in the New Year if it’s needed to ensure we maintain our form and go one step further than the heartbreaking 2018/19 campaign, and a new link to me is Reading’s Andy Rinomhota.

With Kalvin Phillips serving his one game ban for five yellow cards in the clash with Huddersfield Town last weekend, fans saw on loan Brighton and Hove Albion centre-half Ben White fill in for him, but according to Football Insider, Viktor Orta is keeping a close eye on Reading midfielder Andy Rinomhota as a potential addition so we are better covered.

The 22-year-old has featured for the Royals 16 times so far in the campaign of 2019/20 and he has three further substitute showings to his name as well, but his senior career has only just seen him break the 50 appearance marker and despite the report making the defensive midfielder play, he’s only started one game in that position for them so far this season.

We have apparently scouted him a few times, but we are keeping our options open and it’s not necessarily January we will make an attempt, if we even make an attempt.

I’m imagining this speculation will come to nothing.
